Before TML fans cry these 2nd round players I picked Nyman is 6 ft 4- 215 lbs already and has a great shot .
Dragicevic is 6 ft 1 -200lbs and very good offensive RIGHT hand defense with size.
So exactly the type of players TML need to develop in our prospect pool.

Leafs need a TWD RHD more than anything not an OFD. The prospect are good pickups, but this is something I would do if Marner was a PPG winger (with 2-years left on his deal that wanted out). The main goal of a Marner trade shouldn't be too deepen the prospect pool + top 4D that should be good fora few years.

Don't think you can convince Tavares to move his family all the way to Utah.

An how do you know they will be available at those draft spots? JT never waives for Utah.

He is a very good skater has two way skills but a LOT of offense, and Canadian I really like him.
A strong physical shutdown lefty is easier to get to pair with him when he is ready for NHL.

What are you talking about ?
Is who available at what draft spot?
That has nothing to do with this thread?

I do like him as a prospect. I liked his draft profile, and was kind of expecting the Leafs to draft him with their pick. They took Cowan instead though, and SEA took him with the Leafs 2nd, kind of hurt lol. Cowan looks to be pretty solid though , so can't complain now. If there was another way to get him, I would happy to do so, but not the types of prospects you trade for which you trade Marner. I don't think SEA would make him available though wihthout it being in a trade like this since they don't have too many defensive prospects apparently. Maybe could try dealing Liljegren for him.

If it was Shane Wright + Larsson + Dragicevic for Marner (w/ extension) + Liljegren/Robertson/Minten or even Cowan if they would add a 2nd, that's something I could get behind. The Leafs would get a blue-chip prospect and the team's future 2C (1C if Matthews runs). I don't think Ron Francis would make SW available in a Marner trade but who knows. That being said if the Leafs' management aren't getting a haul for Marner, then maybe they shouldn't drive him out of town. If Marner was forcing his way to SEA, then I would take something like the above but would want Firkus instead of Nyman or one of the 2nds. However, if Marner is willing to stay and this is the best offer, you sign him.
