I like all of the trades! I like how you reformed the center for the Flyers. We need those. However, I do not believe Ottawa would be too keen on taking Couturier. I love the guy, but at this point in his career he is kind of a cap dump.

Sens will take their chances on Norris before taking on Couturier.

Way too much for the sabres to pay. They can win most bidding wars but idk why they'd want to for konecny.

take out Krebs and throw in a 3rd on Phillys side I think you got a deal. This deal however is an overpay from Buffalo

Konecny has that competitiveness that the Sabres lack. And he's got top-six skill too.

However, he'd be considered a rental with only one year left on his deal and at 27 yrs. old, he'll probably be looking to cash in on a big-money, long-term deal. I don't think the Sabres will do that for a winger.

I'll take that Atkinson deal. He would be perfect for the third-line wing as an insurance policy should Kulich have trouble as a rookie.

Always liked his style. He has lots of compete and quickness has no fear or hesitation and I believe he'll be able to build upon last season when he came back from injury.

So what you're saying is Kulich and a 1st for TK, Laughton and a 3rd?? Not enough at all. I'd add in a 3rd but Krebs stays. I would also assume that TK would work out an extension with BUF before being traded, as a hand shake wink wink type deal.

I agree, and with an extension worked out, this deal would work. You guys are sorely lacking the culture that TK and Laughts would immediately bring and nurture. Need guys like that, and although SL had an underwhelming season, he really did get back on track after the deadline, he can play anywhere in the lineup, and is a very dependable player for his cap hit.

I like Laughton in a 3C role, but there are many in Sabreland who scoff at the notion and would prefer to go after Cates. Not sure the Fly-boys would trade Laughton's replacement.

Gotta imagine Ottawa wants more than this if they're giving up Norris too.

I think the trade off here is, that Coots, albeit off of surgery and out almost two full seasons, pretty much showed up all year outside of being scratched. He's never been an injury prone guy, but literally had two years off. So even though he's 29, he really saved his body 160 games, and is proven not to be as injury prone as Norris. I think thats the trade off here, with Norris appearing to be one of those players that may never play a full 82.

Not at all saying Coots is the picture perfect example of health, but he's done it far more consistently than Norris has.

Yeah, we have a few Laughton replacements, even Poehling kinda does what he does. The main thing for Buffalo is, is to change that culture in the locker room. That pond hockey style doesn't work, especially with such a young D corps and goalie room. Guys like TK and Laughts would immediately bring a more disciplined approach, and not to mention, they both play on both sides of special teams. The value in these trades is certainly fair on both sides in my opinion.

What value do you think TK has?

181 points in 215 games over the last 3 seasons, 27 at the beginning of the year, can play either wing and plays on both special teams unit. He's got the attitude you want in a player and a motor that doesn't quick. I would say he has more value than you probably think he does. I would start at a first and an A prospect and probably a little more.
