TOR trade is terrible for Utah.

STL is retooling and could use those picks over adding mid assets, even tho the value ain't that bad.

Some of the UFA signings are considerable low ball offers considering the cap increase coming. You can except just about any UFA who performed well to some extent look for more money than their previous contract (Domi, Bertuzzi, Lyubushkin, I'd wager Pesce too gets more than this).

Domi would take a home town discount, Bert didnt really preform, Pesce is like a 5-6 mill guy and Idk why Toronto would bring back Lyb anyway

Only because of contract size. Marner is by far the better player.

Both of those two signed one year deals to play in a good team to bank on for getting more during the cap increase. The fact that team wasn't really any good after all screwed them over a bit, but they'll still get more from the open market. There will be market for Bertuzzi with better money than that. Domi might be willing to stay for cheaper in order to get some stability to his career, he's gone through so many teams past few seasons, but there is def better offers than that waiting for him in the open market too.

For Pesce, I'm thinking of Severson contract, he's better than him and should get around 6,5 mil in the open market with relative ease.

By far? Keller's an 80 point player and a better goal scorer than 100 point Marner. And Keller, doesn't have Matthews, Nylander, and Tavares helping him.

Leafs are trying to sign Bert to a longer term contract lmao, Domi would stay and Pesce could prolly push 6.5 but it would be on a 3 year deal
