Before the Hawks do this, they should just throw 6 million for even 5 years at Stephenson and end up with the better player in the long run.

I could understand why but that's a lot of money for a 30 year old you doesn't fit the timeline at all. I could see a move like that in 2-3 years from now though

ehhh it's tough to just get a lottery ticket with Frost, he's our only offensively talented Center (but don't try to tell that to Torts). I have no idea if we're going to hang onto him, but I think he could be a major piece of a "hockey trade".

Flyers would think long and hard about that. Ultimately, I think they might pass due to lack of center depth and glimpses of what we saw in Frost that makes him a solid 2C.

I don't mind investing in Stephenson as he should help in the short term as a 2C to make the team more competitve and when he hopefully gets passed by prospects in a few years, he can slide into the 3C or W and will only amount to 6.5% of the cap next Summer (and even less when he hopefully gets pushed down the lineup later).
