Does LA Take This
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JackSC87</b></div><div>To anyone in this comment section who either thinks this is a good deal for Toronto or thinks that LA would decline is out of their minds and so influenced by recency bias. Marner is an exponentially more valuable player than Kempe will ever be, and that's not to say Kempe is bad, in fact I think he is great, but Marner is a generational talent who scores 100 points per season. Adding the fact that there are TWO high picks associated as well as a depth piece makes this maybe the worst mock trade I have ever seen on this website.</div></div>
Thanks Jack. Honored.

How so? Good cap relief and get an great player back who's signed for cheap for the next two years. Context appreciated.

SJ would decline. If you take out the 1st and and Zetterlund, they may let Ferraro go for it.

No problem. They'll keep a cheap, tenacious 20-goal scorer.

In theory, they can do it. A little bit of retention with him as well if TOR adds more assets and/or sending bigger contracts back. Cheers.

Don't re-sign Domi, Bertuzzi, or Brodie and that's $13.5M in cap space.

I think Woll takes over text season, but could see the Leafs doing a short-term deal with Samsonov if the price is right. He may just have priced him out of Toronto, however. They may need to look at Driedger, Stolarz, Rittich...

Shane Pinto literally has a very good shot , and a lot of skills. He’s also a high end 200ft player</div></div>
He's also a recovering gambling addict

A top 10 scorer who is also a center for a 1st and prospect? No, no. If y'all wanted cheap JT Miller, last year was the time to pry him away. He is way too important to the Canucks' success to be traded for this kind of package.</div></div>
Pretty sure they would. Miller is going to rapidly decline soon and Vancouver would be smart to recoup assets while they can. The contract is going to look reaaaal bad in a couple years.

Right shot. Entering his prime. Cap going up to $87.5M. Understand he is RFA-controlled but I think the deal will be north of $8M if it's a long-term deal.
